1. Who can enroll in MSOA COLLEGE FOR THE ARTS?
Students who are 16 years of age may enroll in MSOA College for the Arts program. Advanced students who are age 14 and up may also join the MSOA College for the Arts.
2. Why enroll in the college level program if I am not working toward a MSOA Certification?
All college level students are given grades and their transcripts are kept on file. If a student goes elsewhere, their MSOA transcripts may prove helpful, and in some cases students may be given credit for classes taken at MSOA.
Advanced classes are being incorporated into the MSOA College Level Program. Some advanced classes will be exclusively offered to college students.
3. Is MSOA accredited?
MSOA is a trade school. Most trade schools do not offer Liberal Art courses in Math, Language Arts, and Science. Trade schools usually certify their students for completing a specific list of coursework.
Art students are hired based on talent, skill and experience. Having an art degree does not guarantee a job. What is unique about the arts is that it spawns entrepreneurs, the privilege to work at home, and being your own boss as well as the option of working for a company.
Students who complete a MSOA Teachers Certification or a MSOA Mastery are honored with graduation and given diplomas for their work. All graduates are celebrated by their own art shows.
4. Is MSOA associated with a particular Church or denomination?
MSOA is a Christ centered school. It does not represent any particular denomination or Church. It is based on Christian principles.
5. Does MSOA accept art credits from another University?
Sometimes, MSOA reviews classes taken by the student elsewhere for excellence and understanding of the medium. MSOA does not accept credits that go against its philosophy or mission statement.
6. What is the length of the MSOA College Level Program?
If a student has completed the Foundational Studies program, they may complete the College program in two or three years, depending on how many classes they choose to take each term.
7. Why is it important to be certified by an Art School?
Most companies are impressed by an artist who has completed studies in the field of art. They know that the person has a wide range of experience and knowledge from which to draw. Companies or schools will ask where you attended school and if you are certified.
8. What is unique to MSOA?
MSOA returns to the techniques of the masters. It is committed to excellence. It is a classical art school that does not promote post modern art.
9. Does MSOA provide housing?
MSOA offers live in housing for girls who live a long distance or live out of state.
10. Is MSOA a five day school?
Presently, MSOA offers two full days of school, and an opportunity to intern. MSOA college students take classes elsewhere or work part time. MSOA may soon be incorporating a third day primarily for college students.
