Did you ever consider that your brain is a muscle? You have two brains. The left side is developed in conventional acedemia, music and even crafts is a left brain, linear activity. Developing the right brain through learning how to see artistic pursuits develops the creative right side of the brain. Did you ever consider that we should be able to draw as easily as we write our name? Masters School of Art specializes in learning how to see in drawing and painting. We give our students the techniques to be successful.

Supplies info: You can order a paint set from us for $40 which includes 8 basic paints, and five brushes. At times, Michaels has a sale on acrylic paints for $2.99 which is a good price. (Paint colors are: Forest Green, Yellow, Red, Blue, Black, White, Purple, and yellow ochre.) Purchase the darkest colors...some companies have different names for the paints. Purchase Basics for now. Here is what you need for brushes...one round brush, one 1/2" flat brush, one brush for details, fan brush, and a mop (fluff) brush for blending. If you order from us, we could sell the brushes separately for $10.
You also need a canvas. Not a huge one, a 14" by 16" canvas is a good size. You can pick up the canvases at Michaels, Art Media, and Aaron Brothers. "I've Been Framed" in Portland is another place to purchase art supplies. It is a hit and miss thing with them. They purchase close outs, but not always priced to sell. We have pallette paper for $6 at the school.
There are no supply fees for the Drawing class, Computer class or Cartooning class. We provide paper, pencils and other supplies. There will be a $5 charge for the Claymation class, however, to help with the cost of the clay.
